One of the coolest things about beavers is how they create wetland habitat that can be used by a bunch of other species, earning them the title of an ‘ecosystem engineer’. This project was spurred on by going to a beaver conference and wanting a beaver shirt to wear to it (yes, that really exists, and there were over 500 of us beaver nerds there!). Turns out plenty of other people are interested in rep’ing beaver wetlands so I ended up printing a few batches and it’s been exciting knowing these are going out into the world where they hopefully serve as a conversation starter to get more people thinking about our relationship with beavers and riparian ecosystems.
